Life in Baghdad

Friday, April 15th, 2005

I have been reading River’s Weblog. She is a girl from Baghdad who cannot post more than once a week but when I read her thoughts I feel going around my mind. small details like joking about suspicious relationship between home telephone cuts and new cellphone companies. These and other not-so-funny comments tell us how a 1st person’s life in Iraq looks like.

That’s very different from the shocking daily digest of images that we cannot understand from the armchair of our respective sitting room.

You can read it here. It’s strongly recommended.

El concepto de nacionalidad

Friday, April 15th, 2005
